District 3

Hi District 3,

I wanted to check if the Directors and Managers' monthly meetup is still happening. I remember attending those meetings in the past, but I fell off the list since they overlapped with a standing meeting. I think someone at CSUEB ran them. Does anyone recall those Zoom sessions or have interest in restarting them?

The Director's Call was originally launched during my tenure as D3 President as part of the Corona Conversation series the district offered during the pandemic. The meetings were hosted by Heather Villhauer, then with East Bay, and Nicole Roa with HARD.

Participation gradually declined after about two years, and the district eventually discontinued the series. However, at its peak, the meetings were very well received by Directors and General Managers, many of whom appreciated the opportunity to connect and discuss departmental priorities during a time of uncertainty.

Although I haven't been as actively involved with the district since leaving the Board, I believe this is a concept well worth revisiting and proposing to those leading the Presidential Series.
