CPRS Senior Symposium
Join fellow senior services professionals for the 2026 CPRS Senior Symposium on October 6 in Hermosa Beach. This full-day event will feature engaging sessions on leadership, building an award-winning senior center, and strengthening communication and connection. Attendees will also enjoy Speed Networking Bingo, lunch and lawn bowling, and opportunities to connect and exchange ideas with professionals from across the field.

The Executive Director will have an engaging management style with a successful record of creating and implementing innovative and nontraditional approaches to challenges while maintaining positive energy and enthusiasm within the department. As this is a community-facing position, compassion and skill in providing services to vulnerable communities and creating partnerships with local non-profits and other community based organizations is necessary.

This Deputy Director of Community Services is part of the Management Team and is expected to work on high level operational and administrative projects.The culture of the Management Team can be summarized in one word - teamwork. The group is strongly cohesive, collegial and cooperative. The Management Team work closely together on a variety of projects and will help each other when needed. The culture is dominated by a feeling of mutual support, a friendly sense of humor, and open communication.
