The CPRS JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Counsel is invested in supporting the park and recreation industry advance JEDI principles. This support includes planning, collecting, and creating trainings and resources. Please take a moment to let the JEDI Counsel know about any topics you are interested in learning about.

Join other professionals for the interactive NAYS Academy Prep Session that is designed to enhance the learning experience, provide networking opportunities and prepares CYSA candidates to complete the certification process. There are no prerequisites, and professionals at all levels are encouraged to participate. Topics include youth sports philosophy, leadership, policies, volunteer management, parent education, safety and risk management, emergency preparedness, conflict resolution, inclusion, marketing, program evaluation, and more.

Senior Recreation Specialist (Part-Time)
City of Garden Grove
Under general supervision, Senior Recreation Specialists are responsible for the more routine aspects of planning, promoting, organizing, coordinating, and leading community programs and recreation services for customers of all ages. Senior Recreation Specialists can be assigned to the Recreation Services or Human Services divisions of the Community Services Department.

Older Adults Coordinator (Part-Time)

Under direction, supervises subordinate staff, volunteers, and program participants; Coordinates and supervises all program activities, including workshops, field trips, special events, tournaments, classes, and fitness programs; Conducts outreach, coordinate, and implement all activities and programs.

Recreation Leader, Senior (Part-Time)
City of Newport Beach
Provides customer service on behalf of the Recreation and Senior Services Department to the City's recreational patrons of all ages. To assist in implementing the City's After School and Day Camps Programs, Early Childhood Development Program, City-wide special events, Sports Programs, Senior Programs, Sailing Activities, Marine Education and Conservation Program, and/or Community Center Operations (programs, facility rentals, and customer service).
