    2025/2026 D10 Award Nominations Open

    Don't miss out on the chance to recognize the AMAZING people, programs, or facilities in your agency.

    A variety of NEW awards are also eligible for submission this year, in which we highlight the:

    D10 JEDI Award (NEW)

    The D10 JEDI Award recognizes agencies that demonstrate leadership and commitment to building communities where everyone can live full, dignified, and connected lives. This award honors efforts that advance justice by removing barriers to access and opportunity, promote equity through fair and inclusive practices, embrace diversity by valuing the differences that strengthen communities, and foster inclusion by ensuring all voices are welcomed and represented.

    Agencies may be recognized for innovative or impactful actions that apply JEDI principles in one or more of the following areas:

    • Community programming and outreach

    • Hiring practices and workforce development

    • Staff training and professional growth

    • Marketing, communication, and public engagement

    • Departmental policies, partnerships, or other organizational initiatives

    Nominations are also OPEN for a variety of categories, including some new ones:

    CPRS Connected Community Award (NEW)

    • The Connected Community Award recognizes an agency that has developed an outstanding and effective marketing initiative or campaign that successfully connects residents to recreation and community services.

    Career Achievement Award 

    • This award will recognize a retiree within a member agency or organization who has made significant and lasting contributions to District 10, CPRS, and the Parks and Recreation profession.

    Coveted Leadership Award

    • This award recognizes a recreation professional who has provided outstanding leadership and made significant contributions to District 10 through demonstrated involvement for at least ten years.

    Individual Impact Award (NEW)

    • This award honors an individual who has made a significant impact on the parks and recreation profession within District 10 over the past year.

    Agency of Distinction Award (NEW)

    • This award recognizes a parks and recreation agency that has demonstrated outstanding support and commitment to District 10 and the advancement of the parks and recreation profession within District 10.

    Most Valuable Part-Time Player Award

    • This award recognizes part-time employees who make outstanding contributions to their agency and the community.

    Parks Make Life Better Award

    • The Parks Make Life Better Award honors a District 10 agency, facility, park, Special event, or program that demonstrates creativity and innovation in meeting community needs or enhancing service delivery.

    Distinguished Volunteer Award

    • This award is presented to an individual or an organization in recognition of their contributions to the community, profession, or member agencies.

    Dues Relief

    D10 provides Dues Relief to remove a financial barrier that would prevent members from attending events, trainings, and or renewing their membership. 

    All D10 members are encouraged to apply. Non-CPRS members are encouraged to apply to receive membership.

    Under general supervision, the Parks & Recreation Coordinator plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direction and oversight for a variety of Parks & Recreation community services activities, programs, and special events; provides administrative support and program assistance to the Recreation Supervisor and/or Recreation Manager

    Recreation Leader II - Community Services Front Office (Part-Time)

    City of Anaheim

    This position requires a specific knowledge of and interest in sports, arts and crafts, education, leisure activities for youth and/or adults, and or community center and facility maintenance and operations. This class is distinguished from the Program Specialist in that the latter is responsible for all program planning, staff supervision, and administration for a particular recreational program area.
