    INTRODUCTIONS

    Hello D12, 

    I have been asked to get our introduction chain started. As many of you may be aware, there are monthly challenges going from HQ and June's challenge is to have as many members as possible utilize the discussion boards and introduce themselves. 

    • Name: Brooke Walsh
    • I've been in aquatics for 18 years and have now mixed in sports and social media.
    • My work directly reflects the activities that I do in my free time and I think that's pretty special. 
    • I recently started temp fostering dogs and it is so fun! I basically get a dog (all food, toys, and goodies provided) and just to hang with them for the weekend.

    Good afternoon D12!

    I am Kevin Payton, Parks Recreational Supervisor for the County of San Diego at the Spring Valley Gymnasium and Teen Center. My day-to-day includes direct supervision of the facility, youth and adult sports, sports field allocations, and outdoor adventure programming. I have been working in Parks and Rec for 17 years and have enjoyed the opportunity to enhance the quality of life for residents of San Diego and our visitors. 

    As President of District 12, I am hoping to visit and participate in more events going on in the District this year. Any upcoming events or programs in the parks that you're excited about? Let me know, I'm looking for something fun to attend!

    Years in Parks: 13 Years (11 in municipal Parks and Recreation, 2 in NY State Parks)

    My passion for Parks and Recreation comes from connecting with youth and communities through creative, fun and safe opportunities! 

    Fun Facts:

    • I've met the dog from the movie Air Bud
    • My favorite food of all time is the Garbage Plate (Rochester, NY staple)
    • One of my first jobs was constructing bear caves for a local magician in Corning, NY
