The CPRS District 5 Board is seeking candidates to join our team!
This is the perfect opportunity for professionals ready to advance their careers and deepen their involvement with the California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS). Serving as a district leader is a meaningful way to connect with fellow recreation professionals, expand your network, and gain valuable insights into the operations of agencies across our district.
District 5 is actively seeking dedicated candidates for the following board positions:
Vice President:

Attend all District Board of Director Meetings
-
Responsible for bylaws compliance and reviews
-
District 5 Representative for CPRS A-Team (Legislation) Committee
-
Support section and committee events
-
Work with Region 2 Representative to coordinate Region 2 Social at State Conference

1 year term - will transition into President Elect, then President (total 3 year term)
Advocacy Team Section Representative:
-
To provide education on current legislation. To promote educational opportunities; to engage in research to advance the community services of the profession; to disseminate information affecting Recreation services in CA; and to engage in state and federal advocacy efforts that support and enhance the Recreation profession. The section shall provide services focusing on professional practice, professional development, external affairs, advocacy, treatment and networking.
Each role offers a unique platform to influence our community, collaborate with peers, and support the goals of CPRS.
