Hi everyone,
The City of Maywood is currently reviewing our park restroom operations and is considering closing public restrooms during certain hours of the day. I am reaching out to see what policies or practices other cities has in place regarding park restroom access.
Currently, our restrooms are open all day; however, we have received a growing number of complaints related to vandalism, missing supplies, and misuse, including supplies being taken. Because of this, we are exploring possible adjustments to restroom hours and operational policies.
If your city has adopted a council resolution, policy, or best practices related to restroom hours, monitoring, or maintenance, we would greatly appreciate any information or recommendations you can share. We are especially interested in learning about:

Typical restroom operating hours

Whether restrooms close during certain parts of the day
