Hello All District 13 CPRS folks,

I have received a question about pickle ball fencing in between courts to eliminate crossing play from court to court. Have any of you implemented this in your pickle ball courts? Has it been well received or did it result in miscellaneous Claims. Appreciate the feedback in advance.

We have designed several pickleball projects and met with pickleball groups on all of them.  Each group requested the fencing between the courts to keep the balls from rolling through.  We leave a 3' opening at each end for access although one project we eliminated the gap and provided a gate for each court on the perimeter fencing.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, every response is helpful. We noticed that we come up 6" short for the outer perimeter portion all the way around. Do you know if this is an issue if the actual courts are regulation size? Im speaking of the 8' perimeter around pickleball courts.

    Ramiro,

The distance from the edge of the court to the fence on the sides is a minimum of 7'.  The distance between courts is a minimum of 11' but we design 14' to stay consistent on both sides of the courts.  I assume you are referring to the distance from the end of the courts to the fence which is recommended at 8'  We design 10' where space is available.  If these are recreational courts I would imagine 6" short will not be a huge issue but it would be best to check with your local PB groups to confirm.  It they will be for tournament play then the 6" short would be an issue.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for your response, this is very helpful. I believe these are for recreational use only. We will look to see if we have any PB groups in La Verne.
