Hello CPRS Colleagues,
I'm hoping to gather some information from agencies that host recurring Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Al-Anon, or similar recovery support meetings in City-owned facilities.
Our City is currently reviewing a long-standing facility use agreement and evaluating our fee structure for these types of recurring community groups. As part of that discussion, we're interested in learning how other agencies approach these requests.
If your agency hosts these types of meetings, would you be willing to share:
- Does your agency currently host AA, NA, Al-Anon, or similar recovery meetings in a City facility?
- If so, what fee structure do you use (standard rental rate, nonprofit rate, reduced rate, fee waiver, etc.)?
- Are the meetings managed through a standard facility rental/permit process or a recurring license/use agreement?
- Do you charge staffing fees, or are they waived for recurring meetings?
- Approximately how long has the group been meeting at your facility (if known)?
If there are any policies, agreements, or best practices that have worked well for your agency, I'd greatly appreciate hearing about those as well.
Thank you in advance for your time and willingness to share your experiences. Your feedback will be very helpful as we evaluate our own program and prepare information for our City Council.
Best,
