  • D4 Bowling Tournament Location Survey -- Feedback Needed! Closes

    Hello D4,

    We are back seeking your feedback. Our last survey asked for support selecting the sport for the 2024 D4 Tournament- the winning response, BOWLING! Now we need to narrow down the location, help us decide between BelMateo Bowl in San Mateo or 4th Street Bowl in San Jose.

  • Region 2 Conference Social, 2/29 from 1:30PM-2:30PM

    Hello District 4,

    It’s almost CPRS Connections Conference time! You may have seen on our D4 social media pages that Region 2 (Districts 4, 5 and 6) is hosting an afternoon social on 2/29 at Koffi Central in Palm Springs (650 E Tahquitz Canyon Way) from 1:30-2:30PM. The first 100 Region 2 members to show up will receive a free iced or hot coffee and delicious fresh baked cookies. All Region 2 participants that attend will also be entered to win a prize (gift cards, portable chargers & self-care goodies) - 12 opportunities to win!

  • Last Day of CPRS Voting - Closes TONIGHT!!!

    Hello District 4,

    Just a quick reminder that CPRS voting closes TONIGHT, so get your vote in before 11:59pm.  All eligible CPRS Members should have received an email last week from John Doyle with your ballot login information.  YOU get to choose who you want in elected positions to represent your Section, District and State Board.  The candidates all have a statement to help you decide who to vote for and who you'd like to represent you as a CPRS Member!  If you have not already voted, I'd highly encourage you to take a few minutes to vote TODAY because every vote counts!

  • Start the New Year Right! Attend the Administrator Section Executive Summit

    When:  Jan 8, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM (PT)
    Associated with  Administrators Section

    Parks and Recreation Master Plans, Park Specific Master Plans, Strategic Plans…That’s a lot of plans. Led by staff from Blue Point Planning, this session will discuss the differences between these documents, various approaches to them and effective strategies for community engagement. You will also hear from professionals in the field about successes and pitfalls in development and implementation.

    Sign up once, invite your team, and attend all 3 sessions!   This is a great way to collaborate with your team, engage them in some industry learning, and have a debrief after each session on how you can apply your learning to your agency!

    D4 is excited to offer a sport tournament in Fall 2024 for members to hone in on their competitive sides and socialize! In previous years we have offered golf, bocce and bowling tournaments. We want your feedback on what type of sporting tournament you would like to see offered.

  • CFPR 2024 Foundation Cup Golf Tournament Registration

    The California Foundation for Parks and Recreation (CFPR) welcomes golfers to register for the annual Foundation Cup to be played at @Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Player check-in begins at 6:45 a.m. with tournament shotgun start at 8 a.m.

    Player registration is $230/golfer with registration open for a twosome or foursome and includes green fees, golf cart, swag, player breakfast, player lunch, and amazing fun with your fellow conference attendees.

    The election deadline for your state, district or section open board positions is fast approaching!
    We need ALL candidates, whether for the CPRS State Board, a District, or a Section Board, to submit their interest via one ONLINE SUBMISSION form by Thursday, November 30th, 2023!

  • D4 Holiday Meeting and Festive Exchange

    Coming up on Wednesday, December 13th, District 4 will host its final monthly meeting of 2023. This meeting, beginning at 11AM will include a potluck lunch and a white elephant drinking vessel gift exchange! ALL CPRS D4 members are welcomed to join us!   • Cornhole Tournament Tuesday, November 7th in Burlingame

    The Region 2 and Aquatics Section Cornhole Tournament is occurring on Tuesday, November 7th at the Burlingame Community Center (850 Burlingame Ave). Games start at 4PM.
