Eligibility Criteria: Students: Enrolled in a University/program. Live, work or attend a school within a D1 county. Professionals: D1 active member, volunteer at past/present D1 Event.

District 2 Jerry Fox Maintenance Management Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria: Open to members of the D&O Section, employees of member agencies that live and work with D2.

Application Review Process: Reviewed by the District 2 Committee.

Maintenance Management School Registration $6,300 ($2100 per registration). Covers the cost of registrants for 3 participants. 09/22/2024
District 2 Jane H. Adams Professional Development Grant

Eligibility Criteria: Members of District 2.

Application Review Process: Reviewed by the District 2 Committee.

Professional Development $1500 awarded to individuals who have demonstrated a dedication to the profession. 12/20/2024
District 2 Student Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria: Must live, work or attend school with the District 2 boundaries. Please see award details for further information.

Application Review Process: Reviewed by a panel comprised of Park and Recreation Professionals will review and score each application.

Undergraduate Student To support future professionals in the field of Parks & Recreation.  12/06/2024
District 3 Student Scholarship and Professional Grant

Eligibility Criteria: Open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in the parks, recreation, community services or related field.

Application Review Process: Reviewed by the District 3 Scholarship Committee. D3 Board give final approval.

How to Apply: Applications currently closed.

Students, Professional Development $500 maximum for each awarded. Funds can be spent at recipients' discretion toward school expenses and/or one year of student membership in CPRS (California Park & Recreation Society). 01/07/2024
District 8 Professional Development Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria: Students: Student or recent student (within one year). Professionals: New Parks and Recreation Professional (within two years).

Application Review Process: Reviewed by District 8 Scholarship Committee.

Students, Professional Development Funds cover CPRS membership fee and Connections Conference registration fee. 12/02/2024
Administrators Section Professional Development Scholarship Program

Eligibility Criteria: Open to active members of the CPRS Administrative Section.

Application Review Process: Reviewed and scored by the Administrators Section Committee with awards approved by the Administrators Section Board.

Up to $2000 will be awarded in FY24/25 towards attendance of the Director's Academy and the CPRS Conference.

Eligibility Criteria: Must be a CPRS and Aquatics Section member.

California Foundation for Parks & Recreation Student Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria: Undergraduate students: completed or be enrolled in courses that add up to a minimum of 60 units with at least 12 units in their major. Graduate applicants: Completed at least 9 units.

Application Review Process: Reviewed by the CFPR Scholarship Committee.

Various award amounts for students majoring in all aspects of recreation, parks, park operations, natural resources management, recreation therapy, commercial recreation, tourism, community recreation, recreation/aquatic management, recreational sports management and recreation leadership.

Eligibility Criteria: All current CPRS members in need of financial support toward endeavors that facilitate career growth and advancing the profession.

Maintenance Management School Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria: Be in good standing with your current employer Be in good standing with the school (if you previously attended MMS) Active or historic employment in the park and recreation industry and/or passion/interest in the industry Be available and have the support of your employer to attend November 3-7, 2025 Be 21 years of age or older

Application Review Process: Complete applications will be reviewed by a committee of current Regents and/or Regent Emeriti in addition to CPRS HQ team member(s).
