Good morning District 4,
The D4 Board of Officers are excited to announce that in January 2018, we will be offering an internship opportunity to one student from either San Francisco State University or San Jose State University. This has been a goal of District 4 for many years, and we are looking forward to the amazing opportunity this will give an up and coming young professional.
A key aspect of this internship will be the involvement of multiple agencies throughout San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. To enhance the value of the internship, we are looking to showcase as many cities within D4 as possible. Opportunities within your agencies can include, but not limited too, working at your special events, assisting with any projects, attending city meetings, or providing any staff support. The intern's time in each city will vary, depending on the need. Monetary reimbursement for the intern is covered through funds raised by the District 4 Board. Liability for the intern will be the responsibly of the university, but the D4 Board will work with each agency's policies regarding volunteers.
The Spring session will run from January-May 2018. Attached is the informational flier.
