The City of Monterey is considering changing Recreation registration software systems. We currently use Vermont Systems (VSI) RecTrac version 10.3. We would be especially interested in your feedback if you have moved from Vermont Systems (VSI) to another system or from another system to Vermont Systems, but would also be interested in feedback on other systems as well, or if you moved to VSI version 3.1. Any assistance with the following questions would be greatly appreciated
If you have migrated to or from VSI, why you decided to make the move? Which company did you go with if not VSI? How happy are you with the transition to another company, the migration process and system functionality? How much time was spent on-site by their consultant during the migration?
iIf you did not migrate to or from VSI, which recreation registration program does your agency currently use?
How long have you been using this program?
What problems or limits have you identified in the software?
What are some of the benefits of your system that influenced you to maintain the contract with that software?
What modules do you use?
How responsive is their support?
Does the staff find the system easy to use? i.e. processing refunds or cancellations?
Does the system require you to be hosted on someone else’s server?
Does the system require that the company be the credit card processor or will they work with other merchant banks?
How are annual fees charges, i.e. percentage of annual revenue, and if so what percentage? Or do they charge a flat annual fee per module?
If you have on-line registration for activities, picnic sites, or passes, do customers find the system easy to use?
