Hello District 4!
Happy Spring to all! I have a few awesome updates to share with everyone.
First off, a huge congratulations is in order to three D4 agencies that received awards at this year’s state conference in Long Beach. The City of Redwood City was awarded for their P.E. Plus program, the City of Cupertino for the McClellan Ranch Preserve, and the City of Burlingame for the Burlingame Family Campout. Congratulation to these cities and their superb staff for representing D4 so well!!!
Secondly, if you have never participated in the District 4 Annual Golf Tournament I highly recommend it. Seriously, I am not just saying this because we want as many of you to register as possible. Come get outdoors with fellow colleagues, work on that golf swing (even if you’re a beginner), and enjoy beautiful Mountain View! The tournament will be played on Friday, April 29th with awards and dinner to wrap up the event all included with your registration.
REGISTER BEFORE APRIL 15TH FEE: $99.00/PERSON
AFTER APRIL 15TH FEE: $119.00/PERSON
Registration form is on the D4 webpage or you can email lauren.merriman@mountainview.gov for more info.
Also, posted on the D4 website there is a flyer for upcoming TOTAL Guard Training designed to help enhance your senior aquatic staff. The training will be held at the Morgan Hill Aquatic Center on Saturday, May 7th from 9am-4pm. ($35 for members/$45 non-members) Contact jennifer.vivenzi@cityofwatsonville.org Let TOTAL Aquatic Management train your best to lead the rest!
Our next District 4 Board Meeting will be at San Jose State University on Wednesday, April 6th from 11:00am-1:00pm. The goal of holding our meetings on college campuses in the area is to inspire and inform the next generation of Parks and Recreation professionals! If you plan on attending, please contact Greg Milano for a parking pass (Greg.Milano@mountainview.gov). We hope to see you there!
If you have any trouble accessing any documents on the District 4 webpage, please email mnoce@burlingame.org directly!
Thank you,
