Hello CPRS Team!
Our agency is looking into how other Recreation and Parks agencies are utilizing free, open outdoor space to engage teens in their communities. Specifically, we're interested in learning what you've been hosting, whether the space is supervised or unsupervised.
We're hoping you could include the answers to the questions below:
- Do you actively program the space for teens, or is it left open for unstructured use?
- Do you bring out activities, games, or equipment during certain hours?
- Have you installed any static equipment or features (for example, fitness stations, skate elements, seating areas) designed to attract teen use?
Any information you can share about how you engage this demographic, including what has or hasn't worked, would be greatly appreciated as we look to getting teens away from their phones and back into our parks. Feel free to email
EDoyle@beverlyhills.org or call at 310-285-6888 or respond to this posting.
Thank you!
