Hi all, my name is Karen Clark, and I relocated to Fresno in 2020 but continue to serve the City of Belmont as a Management Analyst. I currently work in the Parks and Recreation Dept. and City Manager's Office, and LOVE the varied, complex, and creative tasks this role offers.

Fun facts about me: the mountains are my happy place and I love acrylic landscape painting and reading (especially fantasy). I have two kiddos (one and five) and don't know what we would do without our local parks!

I also serve on the D7 board and would love to meet you at an upcoming board meeting or event!

    Hello D7!

I'm so enjoying getting to know so many of you through these intros!!

I'm Stef (with an 'F'), your CPRS Executive Director.  Did you know that I too, came from a parks and recreation background?  I worked in several senior centers throughout Colorado in my early career!  I then spent a couple of years as a caterer and event planner, before landing at the Colorado Park & Recreation Association and now here with you amazing humans.  I'm one fortunate woman!

Fun Fact... one of my very first duties as CPRS Executive Director was to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium!  Note that I have ZERO athletic ability.  Thanks to a lot of practice and a very patient 'coach' in Jill Nunes, I successfully didn't embarrass myself nor CPRS that day.  It wasn't a long toss and may have bounced once, but it was nice and straight. Yes, there is a video but it may cost you to see it (wink, wink).

    Stef hugs to you!

Hello, All. I'm Brandon Taylor; I am an Associate Professor at Fresno State in the Department of Recreation Administration. Prior to joining academia, I worked in the field for more than 20 years, several years as a part-timer in the Bay Area, and 15 years full-time in three municipalities in Fresno County.

Fun Fact: I competed in track and field (the jumps) at Fresno State, and after 20 years of not competing, I'm literally jumping back into it this summer. I plan to compete in some masters (age group) meets this summer, finishing in Sac. at the Master National Champs. My goal this first year back is not to embarrass myself, LOL. Also, I make some fantastic BBQ sauce!

I hope you all have a great summer!

    Brandon

Hello! I am Theresa Johnson, Community Services Director in the City of Kerman. I have worked in the profession for 22 years and received my degree in Recreation Administration from Fresno State. Kerman is my hometown and I enjoy being part of the growth and development of the City.

Fun Fact: I am a lifelong band geek, I played the clarinet from 5th grade through high school and was the Assistant Drum Major my Senior year. I always watch the Bulldog Marching Band field show during halftime and enjoy a good parade.

    Go Dogs!

Hey there District 07! Like I've been saying with all the other Sections and Districts, I'm loving getting to you all through this cool challenge!

So here I go. My name is Beatriz Godinez-Muniz but you all may know me as Bee, your friendly Membership Services Coordinator. I've been with CPRS since October 4th, 1990. Yeah, I've been here a minute. And boy do I have stories! 😉 All wonderful stories, of course! 😊 I've seen a few of you come in as student members and flourish into the awe-inspiring professionals you are today! You all are an amazing bunch, and I am honored to be working for and with you!

Outside of CPRS I sing, dance, & play Latin percussionist. My husband & I had an Afro-Cuban Drum & Dance Folklore group called, Ebo Okokán  .  .  .  Offerings from the Heart, for about 20 years (1994-2004), performing at public and private events and at the local school (K-12 & Univ), performing mostly in Northern California. We then had a Latin Jazz Quartet. And we now have a new Trio OTW and can't wait to start gigging!

    TMI BYE! 😊

Hello from HQ! My name is Lindsay, and I am the Administrative Coordinator, and the newest member here at CPRS. I assist with answering the phone, processing payments, registering members for events, and a variety of other tasks. I have had a great time reading your introductions over the last few days!

My coworkers call me "Mini Hoover" because I'm petite but have the appetite of a linebacker (or so I've been told)!

I don't know what I'd do without our parks because I walk my 15-year-old chihuahua and 6-year-old corgi every day!

Fun fact: I did a cartwheel inside the Pentagon when I was in high school!

    Salutations,

The name is Zamora, Joaquin Zamora. I am the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Sanger. I have been involved with recreation my whole life. I actually participated in the programs offered by Sanger as a child, adolescent, and adult. Brandon Taylor let me slide my foot in the door way back when, and I haven't looked back since.

A tidbit for y'all: I still play video games going into my 40th cycle around the sun.

    Have a good one.

    Joaquin
