Option 1: Therapeutic Recreation: Providing Essential Recreation for People of All Abilities (new for 2017)*
March 2, 2017 (Sacramento) 5:45am checkin, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm  Evening Intensive for 0.25 CEUs

Who Should Attend?
Youth and family programming providers and recreational therapists who provide individualized and group recreational
therapy programming for individuals experiencing limitations in life activities and community participation as a result of a disabling condition, illness or disease, and/or developmental factors, including those at risk.

Description/Workshop Overview:  This is a two-part workshop! We’ll show you how therapeutic and fun environments full of play and movement are used as tools to increase motivation, improve life-skills, build self-esteem and create opportunities for social interactions.

*Pre-registration preferred due to minimum registration numbers, onsite registration accepted

Option 2: Recreation Plus Therapy: Perfect Combination for Quality of Life - Our Annual RT Institute
March 3, 2017 (Sacramento) 7:00am checkin 8:00 am - 6:30 pm Up to 0.8 CEUs

Who Should Attend?

Recreational therapists, educators and students of therapeutic recreation who provide interventions and techniques to
improve functioning and independence as well as reduce or eliminate the effects of illness or disability.

Description/Workshop Overview: Fourteen different learning exchanges offered; participate in a total of five to receive 0.8 CEUs
