What is the greatest challenge our profession faces and how will you lead to address that challenge?
The greatest challenge our profession faces is "Adapting to the New Normal" in the aftermath of the pandemic. As Recreation Professionals, we are facing budget deficits, major staff shortages, and ever-changing health and safety guidelines. I would address this by creating small coalitions and partnerships within our membership that can share resources and ideas. I feel it is very important that we build even stronger formal and informal relationships with our members who work in organizations that are geographically close to each other.
