Why have you chosen to run for the CPRS State Board of Directors?
I have a variety of knowledge and skills from aquatic expertise to knowledge and experience of most recreational programming. Have worked on a variety of boards both within CPRS and other agencies. Have worked on legislation components in the past as well as assisted with conferences education sessions.

What personal attributes, skills, or knowledge would you bring to the State Board of Directors if elected?
I have served on local boards within CPRS and would like to develop my tool set a bit and work on the state board and serve our membership.

What is the greatest challenge our profession faces and how will you lead to address that challenge?
I think there are many challenges facing us from continuing to work through the pandemic and functionally operating services for communities, working through employment shortages and positioning park and recreation services on the political front. To lead in focusing on these elements I think I took a huge first step in providing a guidance document with 2 other colleagues across the state for aquatics. I think to continue to lead on the other areas with employment is to engage in dialogue and seek creative ways to make our industry more desirable amongst the available workforce and to share success from agencies across the sections that I will be part of. The communication piece is huge to get our membership more knowledgeable in what we are all doing to combat the issues facing us.
