Bio

Tara is the Park Planning & Development Superintendent for the City of Roseville's Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department.  Tara has worked for the City of Roseville since 1997 and has designed and constructed over 50 new and/or phased parks.  Tara also steers the Department's long range planning efforts, working with key stakeholders to collaborate and plan growth/development areas within the City. Tara also oversee the Department's Urban Forestry program and represents the Department in many critical city-wide initiatives.

Tara has been an active member of CPRS for over 20 years.  Tara is currently serving as the 2020 State Board President of CPRS after having served as President-Elect, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. Her previous involvement with CPRS includes special task forces, Awards of Excellence Chair, Development & Operations Chair and Board member, Maintenance Management School Board of Regents and Regent Emeritus, teaching at state Conference and region/district trainings, California Aquatics Management School, Sacramento State University, local elementary schools, National Recreation and Park Association and more.

Tara is a licensed landscape architect, is married and has one son.  She has published a children's Christian book called, The Holy Thread" and enjoys playing Taiko (Japanese drums).
